What is project background information?
Correspondence before project was approved, articles about similar projects, etc. Should be gathered prior in order to mitigate assumptions.
What is an input?
Some thing that must be done, or information that must be gathered, before you can adequately complete the next process
What is a project charter?
High level directive from management outlining overall objectives of the project. Provides authorization, important directions. Should be issued for each project.
What is a stakeholder register?
Names, skills, abilities and needs of individual stakeholders. Updated as necessary.
What is a project scope statement?
Approved project and product scope. Important for risk management.
What are project constraints?
Anything that limits the team’s options. Includes time, cost, quality, etc.
What are assumptions?
Things accepted as true, but that may not be true. May increase or decrease risks, and help determine risk impact.

What is the work breakdown structure?
Input to other processes and essential to all projects, it decomposes larger projects into smaller pieces called work packages.
What is a network diagram?
A dependency sequenced organization of a project’s activities that shows flows of work packages to be completed based on dependencies between packages.
Are parallel paths allowed in network diagrams?
Yes.
