Sample Statistics
Roman letters used to represent the descriptive measures of a sample
AKA: point estimate
Population Parameters

Sample or Population Size
n or N
Frequency Distribution
a data summary that shows the number of observations in each class
Relative Frequency
the proportion of the data that belongs to a given class
Cumulative Frequency Distribution
shows the NUMBER of items that are less than or equal to the upper class limit of each interval
Cumulative Relative Frequency Distribution
shows the PROPORTION of items that are less than or equal to the upper limit of each interval
Class Midpoint
the midpoint of a class interval
The representative value for each class in group statistics calculations
