Anti-Static Wrist Strap
A device that consists of a wire that connects on one end to an alligator clip and on the other end to a small metal plate that secured to your wrist with an elastic band; The purpose of this device is to eliminate the build up of electrons

ESD; Movement of electrons from one body to another. A real menace to PCs as it can cause permanent damage to semiconductors.
Anti-static Mat
A mat on which to place computer parts to prevent the build up of a static charge
Anti-static Bag
A storage bag for computer components; sheds whatever electrostatic build up you have when you touch it
How do you discharge static electricity if no anti-static tools are available?
Touch the power supply or case (or other metal component) regularly

Electromagnetic Interference
EMI; Electrical interference from one device to another, resulting in poor performance of the device being interfered with. Examples: Static on your tv while running a blow dryer, or placing two monitors too close together and getting a “shaky” screen
