On the negative side, the Europeans often exploited their natives and their wealth for their own selfish desires. They combined territory with little regard for Native boundaries. They left behind armies. On the positive side, the instuded Democratic governance and bureaucracy. It also established modern Judicial systems that were proven successful. They build schools, hospitals, railroads and other technology and their missionaries took the gospel to the lands and spread the word of Christ.
