All builders must register a warranty against new homes against defects for varying periods up to ten years. defects are for one, two or ten years. Applies to all owner-occupied one-two family dwellings, cooperative, condo’s and modular built factory-built dwellings. Does not apply to remodeled houses or mobile homes. The remaining years can be transferred to the next owners if the building is being sold.
