The epidemiologic transition is an increase in life expectancy caused by death rates being mostly caused by non infectious diseases rather than infectious.
What caused severe epidemics in pre-industrialized cities?
Inadequate sanitary living conditions and over crowding.
How does breast feeding affect fertility?
Breast feeding delays the return of a women’s period due to the fact that if breast feeding is taking place, another child is less likely to receive any breast milk from the already born child that is currently breast feeding.
