Reliability
the reliability of a test refers to the consistency with which it yields the same rank for individuals who take the test more than once
Test-retest
estimates of score reliability (also called measures of stability); they are obtained by administering the same test twice to the same group of individuals
Alternate-form
measures of equivalence; they are obtained by administering two alternate or equivalent forms of a test to the same group and correlating their scores; the time between tests is as short as possible.
Internal consistency
estimates tend to yield an inflated scorereliability estimates for speeded tests

determine the extent to which the entire test represents a single, fairly consistent measure of concept
