Humidity
The amount of water vapor present in the air.
Weather
Refers to the state of the atmosphere at a specific time or place.
Relative Humidity
The amount of water vapor in the air compared to the amount needed for saturation at a specific temperature.
Dew point
The temperature at which air is saturated and condensation forms.
Fog
When the air is cooled to its dew point near the ground, it forms a stratus cloud.
Precipitation
Water falling from clouds.
Air mass
Large body of air that has properties similar to the part of earths surface over which it develops.
Front
A boundary between two air masses of different density, moisture, or temperature.
Tornado
A violently rotating column of air in contact with the ground.
Hurricane
The most powerful storm

A person who studies the weather.
Station model
Shows the weather conditions at a specific location on earths surface.
Isotherm
A line that connects points of equal temperature

A line drawn to connect points of equal atmospheric pressure
