The belief that all human and angelic beings will eventually be restored to be right relationship with God while alive or sometime after death
Annihilation
The belief that damned souls are utterly destroyed rather than tormented in hell for eternity
Does the Bible actually talk about the doctrine of hell ?
Yes it does
Jesus talks about it
How does the Bible describe hell ?
A place of utter darkness
Outside in the dark forever
Eternal separation from God
Away from the presence of the Lord,
Did Jesus teach about hell ?
Yes he did
Spoke about it the most
Use judgement and wrath
Is suffering in hell spiritual or physical ?
Spiritual
Not to experience anything good
Is hell forever ?
It does appear so
It’s eternal
What is the purpose of hell?
To serve God’s justice
Punishment
Why can’t God just forgive anyone ?
He has and He’s ready tom
We are not universalist
We have to accept his forgiveness
Doe sGod send children to hell ?
Everyone has a sin nature
It’s different for the each of us
What about those who haven’t heard about Jesus ?
We can’t know what God will do
God’s mind is mysterious
God is gracious and just
Does everyone eventually escape hell ?
Use universalism
Angelic beings can restore a relationship with God
Some will eventually get out
Aren’t people’s soul annihilated ?
No we don’t see that in the Bible anywhere
