Food & Drug Administration. - Science based recommendations for food safety regulatiobs for city, county, state , and tribal agencies that regulate foodservice for retail food operations, vending operations, schools and daycare centers, and hospitals and nursing homes.
USDA
US Department of Agriculture - Inspects meat, poultry, and eggs. Also regulates food that crosses state boundaries.
CDC
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - assist the FDA, USDA< and regulatory authorities with food borne illness and diseases.
PHS
Public health Service - conducts research and investigations into causes of foodborne illness outbreaks.
