Truth, validity, or logical consistency but simply what works in the currency of reproductive success
Inclusive fitness theory
Altruistic acts should be directed to maximize the reproduction of shared genes ie kin
Sexual selection
Sexual selection is driven by being selected for msting by the other sex and describes same sex competition
Eg why men are risk takers and women play it safe or why women degrade other women based on appearance and infidelity
Parental investment theory
Predicts that the parent who pays the bigger cost for reproducing will be more selective and the lower investing sex is less selective but more competitive for access with own sex
Reciprocal altruism
Describes how cooperative systems can function in the context of cheaters and explakn vengrance and grudges
Parent offspring conflict
Describes how children seek to maximize resource allocation from their parents and siblingd which explains sibling rivalry and tension during weaning and it also explains how the placenta actually tries to monopolize the mothers resources
Sexual conflict
Predicts the conflicts between men and women due to different mating stratrgies And male vs female deception, jealousy etc
Morality
Serve as commitment devices thst promote prodpcial deeds, reparation of harm, punishment of cheaters, and signalling u are a good ally
