What is authentication evidence?

Its a subpart of relevance and it does not apply to testimony (in testimony you need to lay foundation).
NEEDED BEFORE DOCUMENTS AND TANGIBLE THINGS ARE RECEIVED IN EVIDENCE - this applies to documents and tangible things. This worries courts bc the document might be forged
