Define the NEA
NEA- the power/ authority to implement and execute RoL, develop and implement policies and prepare & initiate new legislative provisions
Therefore the NEA- has the power to execute RoL @ the national level throughout the whole territory of the state.

What are executive bodies?
They are Organs of State that exercise executive authority @ national level aka national executive bodies The President Ministers Cabinet & other public servants or officials
Can executive bodies create new RoL?
Yes, although they are bound by & subject to the law, they also have the power to create new rules of law through subordinate legislation
What is the role of the Executive bodies?
They have the responsibility to plan, coordinate & manage all-state activities w/in a country
Who is the executive authority of the RSA vested in?
Section 85(1)- the President
Does the president exercise executive authority by himself?
No, section 85(2), he exercises it together w members of Cabinet as HoG
What the president’s duties?
Sec 83a) hos & hog
B) he must uphold, defend & respect the const as the supreme law
C) the President must promote the unity of the Nation
