Why is Japan isolated from its neighbors?
Because it’s an island country, it’s geographically isolated from its neighbors
Where does Japanese writing come from?
They borrowed the Chinese system of writing in characters. At first, the Japanese wrote in Chinese, but over time they started using the Chinese characters to write in the Japanese language
What times of the year are a lot of the festivals?
There are matsuri festivals in the spring and fall. These festivals are held to please the kami
What religions are practiced in Japan
Shinto is the ancient religion of Japan. It’s based off the belief that sacred spirits called kami take the form of objects in nature.
