Chapter 12: Differentiation Flashcards

1
Q

How do you use first principles formula to prove the derivative of something?

A

.First, the two parts in the brackets are changed depending on what you are differentiating. For example (x+h) would be ^3 if you are differentiating x^3.
. Then get rid of ‘f’ then expand and simplify formula.
. Then make ‘h’=0 to get the derivative.

How well did you know this?
