What is the function of drainage.?
Dilution of toxin produced by bacteria.
Transport WBC, plasma protein, antibodies to site,
Transport of bacteria, dead cell, debris from site.
What are the signs and symptoms bog inflammation?
Redness, warmth, swelling, decreased function, fever and increase WBC can occurs with extensive inflammation, skin or mucous membrane.
What patients are in risk of infection.?
Pt with compromise immune system Very young or very old Diabetes, leukemia, anemia, or other blood disorders Impaired skin integrity Malnourished
increase WBC and neutrophils,
