What is an environmental value system?
A model that shows the inputs affecting our perspectives and the outputs resulting from our perspectives
Define the terms : Perspective, Argument, Values, Worldviews.
Perspectives : how a particular situation is viewed and understood by an individual
Argument : a statement or statements made to support a personally held perspective or to counter another one
Values : qualities or principles that people feel have worth and importance in life. They may be individual or held by a group.
Worldviews : the lenses shared by groups of being through which they perceive, make sense of, and act within their environment.
Define Ecocentrism, Anthropocentrism and Technocentrism.
Anthropocentrism : Humans are at the center.
Ecocentrism : Ecology and Nature is at the center.
Technocentrism : Technology is at the center.
Each of these philosophies believes that what is at their center is the solution to everything.
