What is Anorexia Nervosa
a refusal to maintain minimally normal body weight,
intense fears of being overweight ,
and having a distorted view of body weight and shape

BMI >17 Mild
16-17 moderate
15-16 severe
What are the 2 types of anorexia nervosa
restriction type where you restrict calories
Binge where you purge to loose
What is a typical anorexia case?
normal to slightly overweight female on a diet that just underwent a stressful event
What is the gender prevalence of anorexia
10 females to every : 1 male
what is the age prevalence of anorexia nervosa
14 and 18
What percent of the population has anorexia nervosa
0.4% develop the disorder
