When the clock is mounted on the wall, it can be seen that the direction of the rotation of the second had is in the clockwise direction. Hence, the direction of the angular velocity of the seconds hand is determined by using the right hand rule, where the thumb is in the direction of the wall and is denoted as the center of axis of the rotation and the fingers of the right hand curl denotes the direction of the rotation of the angular velocity of the second hand.
