They are located at the lavatory outboard stowage at doors 1L and 4R
How do you deploy the ELT in water?
To deploy the ELT in water you pull the holding cord wound on lanyard card and pull clear of ELT, tie cord securely to tethering point on raft, switch knob at bottom to ARM, make sure antenna is pointing upward, place in water.
How do you know the ELT is activated?
By the continuously flashing light at the base of antenna
Where is the fixed ELT located?
The fixed ELT is mounted to the top of the fuselage in the passenger cabin area (outside)
Where are the Descent Devices located and how many?
Descent Devices are attached and stowed in a ceiling compartment near FD overhead door (hatch) and there are 4 bars in it
What are the Descent Devices used for?
Descent Devices are used to help evacuate the FD to the ground when the primary exit is inaccessible
What type of fire extinguisher is located in the FD?
Halon
What is a Class A fire?
A Class A fire is combustible materials (wood, paper, fabric, refuse, etc)
What is a Class B fire?
A Class B fire is flammable liquids
What is a Class C fire?
A Class C fire is a gas fire
What is a Class D fire?
A Class D fire is flammable metals (i.e. PEDs)
