Q
What are the steps involved in properly assembling your scuba unit?
A
- Cylinder Check: Remove the valve cover and look at the O-ring.
- BC Attachment: Place your BC over the top of the cylinder so the back of the BC is facing you. Raise or lower the BC so that the top of it is even with the cylinder valve. Fasten the buckle.
- Regulation Attachment: Remove the dust cap and hold the first stage in your left hand. Rotate the chambers until the primary second stage sits to the right.
- BC Inflator Hose Attachment: Connect the low pressure inflator hose to the stem on the BC’s inflator.
- Turn on the air: Hold the submersible pressure gauge. Slowly open the cylinder valve by rotating the on/off knob until air starts to flow.
- Regulator test: Depress the purge button on the primary second.
