Protects pregnant women from discrimination in the work place.
The American with Disabilities Act of 1990
Prohibits discrimination based on disability and all aspects of the employment relationship.
The Family Medical Leave Act of 1993
The law requires employers with more than 50 employees to provide as many as 12 weeks of unpaid leave for employees:
- After the birth or adoption of a child.
- To care for a seriously ill child, spouse, or parent.
- If the employee is seriously ill.
