The degree to which people are tied to their social group.
Applied Sociology
Using sociology to solve problems.
Theory
A general statement about how some parts of the world fit together and how they work.
Symbolic Interactionism
Using symbols to develop views about the world and communicate with each other.
Functional Analysis
Society is a whole unit, made up of interrelated parts that work together.
Conflict Theory
The relationship between capitalists and workers; how opposing interests permeate every layer of society.
