selective sampling (viewing content that only aligns with beliefs)
Causal Relationships that DNE (Bias)
two events that happen at the same time must somehow be related. (result of trying to find predictability)
Hindsight Bias
(after the fact explanations); -hard time prediciting the future
- once we know the outcome we tend to interpret and reinterpret evidence the make sense of the outcome
Heuristics ( Bias)
(taking mental shortcuts); finding a satisfactory solution that can often lead to cognitive biases.
Dunning- Kreuger Effect
people lack the ability to evaluate their own performance in areas they have little expertise.
Mind/Body Problem
are the mind and body separate and distinct or is the mind simply the physical brains subjective experience.
Dualism (SCIENTIFCALLY REJECT)
