What is the mantle
The mantle is the layer under the crust it is a heavy lay of hot rock
What is the crust
The crust is the earths outer skin and consists of solid rock
What is the core
The core is the hottest layer of the earth is consist of hot rock
Magma
Is very hot rock called laval when it hits the surface
What does extinct mean
It means that it is no longer living
What does dormant mean
It means hasn’t been active for over 100 years
What does active mean
It means that the volcano is still working that the manga flow Is still connected
What is continental drift
It is when two plates are pulling apart and the continents and drifting apart
Plate tectonics
The theory of the plate moving in the crust decovered by Alfred wegener
Plate boundaries
Are the boundaries that surrounds the plate
Destructive boundary
Plate that bang together forcing the heavier one to sink into mantle
Constructive boundary
Plates that pull apart forcing cracks which magma rises throw to form mid ocean ridge
Vent
Top of volcano where laval comes out and releases gasses
