What is the Nursing Care Patterns
The Nursing Care Patterns is used depends on how many persons need care the stuff, and the cost
Hospitals
Provide emergency care, surgery, nursing care, x-ray procedures & treatments, laboratory testing
Rehabilitation
The person cannot care for themselves at home but do not need hospital care
Long Term Care
Some Persons are not sick to stay in the hospital but still too sick or disabled to go home
Assisted Living Residence
Provide private living area, personal care, support services, health care and social activities in a home-like setting
Mental Health Care
Due to the thought process of some people, they have problems with life events or present a dangetr to themselves or others. Requiring some in-partient care
Home Care Angencies
Provide care in the home setting. Services such as heath teaching and supervision to the bedside nursing care
Hospices
When a person no longer responds to treatments aimed at cures. Usually when life expectancy is short time
Health Care System
Multiple agencies come together as 1 provider of care. The goal is to meet all health care needs
Health Team
Many health care workers who utilize skills and knoweledgeon a person’s total care
Functional Nursing
Focuses on tasks and jobs
Each nursing team member has certain tasks and jobs to do
Team Nursing
A team of nursing staff is led by an RN
A team leader detegates care based on the persons needs and team member abilities
Primary Nursing
The Primary nurse is responsible for the persons total, care
The nursing team assists as needed
