Waste should be deposed under the rules of agencies like the EDA
Regulation of Waste Disposal
A company’s ability to deliver quality products is important. Failure to meet the standards is poor Industry Practice
Industry Practice
A safe, high quality product
Good Manufacturing Practice
Benefits of Biotechnology
Not all careers that involve biotechnology are 100% lab based. By applying the knowledge and skills you have learned to earn a part in this career
New drugs are tested on small animal models to see if it works as expected
During a phase of drug development various cell culture and animal models are used to test if the drug is safe to use
It also helps dictate the concentration at which drugs best with the fewest side effects
Preclinical
Conducted in 3 stages the results are assessed by FDA before the drug is approved
Once a new drug passes these phases the FDA has to approve so that it can be put on the market
The first stages of the trial test how safe the drugs is in a small population then that see how effective the drug is on actual patient.
Clinical Trials
Animal testing is a vital part of drug development
Testing in human clinical trials is essential for any final approval
Testing in humans is not permitted until it is safe to test in an animal using that drug
IRBs in some countries make human subjects lawful and ethical IRB review the purpose and methods of the research to make sure they’re ethical
Scientists use animal models to display how a grub, gene or protein functions in an organism
