Describe metes and bounds
Metes are distances and directions.
Bounds are landmarks or monuments.
Bearings are the compass directions from monument to monument.
The direction and distance is known as a call.
Describe rectangular survey.
Uses longitude lines and principal meridians and latitude lines and base lines.
It divides county into townships by range lines that run N and S
Township lines run E and W
Describe a Township.
It is 6 miles to a side or 36 sq miles and each are divided into 36 sections and are 1 mike to a side.

Most convenient legal description.
Letters and numbers are assigned to each lot.
