Symmetry of a flower
Actinomorphic: radial
Zygomorphic: bilateral symmetry
Fruit
True fruit: developed from fertilized ovary
False fruit: developed from any part of the flower along with ovary
Hypogynous flower
conical thalamus; ovary at the top; stamen, petals, and sepals are separate and below the ovary; superior ovary

Compound leaves
Pinnately compound: leaflets are arranged on both sides on the rachis
Palmately compound: leaflets attached to a common point
Parts of a flower
Calyx: gamosepalous - united sepals polysepalous - free sepals corolla: gamopetalous - united petals polypetalous - free petals androecium gynoecium
Types of fruits
Simple fruits: can be dry or succulent (pericarp)
