What is a luminous source?
A
Something that emits (gives out) light.

What does opaque mean?
A
A material you cannot see through because it blocks light.

What does transparent mean?
A
A material that you can see through because it lets light through.

What does translucent mean?
A
A material that allows some light through, so that you can see a glow but not a clear picture.

How does light travel?
A
In straight lines.

How can we see non-luminous objects?
A
Light travels from a luminous source to the non-luminous object, then reflects off and travels to our eye.
