Achieving goals & objectives:
Corporations, although legally defined as separate entity, don’t really do anything. It is people that use MIS for the right reason that helps the business.
What is IT? How does it differ from IS?
Information technology
The raw technology, considers only the hardware, software, and data components
IS considers people, and it is the ‘people’ component that makes IT useful within an organization.
What is the modern expectations for organizations? (FPN)
Free: The product is literally free (social media apps) or low as it can be (Netflix)
Perfect: Product contains no errors or mistakes and are competitive
Now: Goods are delivered almost immediately and are usable 24/7
