Baylisascaris procynis
Raccoon roundworm, size much larger than t. Canis but eggs smaller. Direct life cycle. Ingestion of larvated eggs or paratenic host or tracheal migration.
Ancylostoma caninum
Canine hookworm, small worms 7-10mm, direct life cycle, transmission through lactogenic route, skin penetration, or paratenic host ingestion.
Uncinaria stenocephala
Northern canine hookworm, 7-10mm, direct life cycle, eggs passed larvae develop in environment, L3 or paratenic ingested
Ancyclostoma tubaforme
Feline hookworm 7-15mm worm size, direct life cycle, eggs passed, larvae develop in environment, L3 or paratenic ingested
Trichuris vulpis
Canine whip worm, 30-50 mm, direct life style, eggs passed infected larvae develop in the egg, eggs are ingested
Capillaria sp.
Small worms with whip like anterior ends, in fish birds reptiles and mammals, simple direct with faculative indirect with paratenic host and obligate indirect with intermediate hosts
