Force Theory, gov. through the use of force. Evolutionary theory, gov. that evolved naturally from a family. Divine right, the leader is either descended from God, or chosen by God. Social Contract, people consent to join a society and to be governed by it’s government if at all.

What’s the difference between an Autocracy and a Democracy?

A

An autocracy is where one person has complete power. A democracy is where the people elect officials into power, and not all the power rests with one man.

A

In a presidential gov. the people elect officials. In a parliamentary gov, the party with the greatest representation in parliament forms the gov.

A

Equality is where everyone is provided the same opportunities. Equity is where people with worse circumstances are provided more opportunities.

A private enterprise system, and a market based system are what make the US a free market economy. The government is allowed to protect the public and preserve private enterprise. Three examples of this are building roads, schools, and food and drug administrations.
