Sensorimotor stage (birth to 2 years) - Use senses to gather information and develop object permeance

Preoperational stage (2 to 7 years) - Start developing an understanding of symbols and and develop linguistic skills

Intuitive thought (4 to 7 years) - Start reasoning and asking many questions

Concrete operational stage (7 to 12 years) - Seriation, classification, understand multiple views of a situation

Formal operation stage (12+ years) - Develop abstract thinking, understand morality, have conscious control over thoughts
