Cognitive, Object permeance, operations
Piagets 4 stages of development
Sensorimotor stage (birth to 2 years) - Use senses to gather information and develop object permeance
Preoperational stage (2 to 7 years) - Start developing an understanding of symbols and and develop linguistic skills

Formal operation stage (12+ years) - Develop abstract thinking, understand morality, have conscious control over thoughts

Examples of: Adaptation, Assimilation, Accommodation, Equilibrium

Short term memory, Rehearse, Long term memory, Motor skills
Decentration, Self regulation, Social learning, Nature, Nurture
Wrongs with Piagets Theory
Had several biases
Did not have validity
Piagets theory of kids having egocentricism was proved wrong
Framework, Person praise, Process praise, Entity theory, Incremental theory, Ecological validity
Conclusion of Gunderson et al. study, process praise is better led to later use of incremental motivational framework.
Had weaknesses as parents knew what they had to do, experiment is not done using naturalistic observation making us question its validity
Ethics, Debrief, Generalisibility
Morals, Moral development, Autonomous, Heteronomous
