How we do know if something is innate?
Birth, reflexes, genetics, cross cultural studies (facial expressions associated with emotions, twin & family studies, Genetic & biological factors, Critical periods in development

Motive is something inside of us that pushes us to do things. It’s a reason or desire that makes us want to act a certain way.
Define motivation
Motivation is the process that starts and keeps us going towards our goals.It’s what energizes us.

SD —> R is the direct relationship between the stimulus and the response. The stimulus is the drive which causes the response.
