  • peace - absence of conflict - decreased risk of prem death, injury or disability
  • income - income increases the ability to afford resources such as healthcare, recreation, transport and education. From a population perspective, income increases the capacity of governments to provide social services and resources
  • education - empowers individuals and increases their ability to earn an income
  • social justice - equal rights for all
  • equity - relates to fairness and social justice, but has a particular focus on disadvantaged groups.
  • stable ecosystem - ecosystem is a community that consists of all of the living and non-living components of a particular area.
  • sustainable resources - relate to ensuring that the resources used to promote health and wellbeing in the present are available for future generations, so they too can experience a good quality of life
