Women were responsible of looking after the kids and their home.The womens also collected and prepared the food and clothing. Men were hunters, fisherman and most often went to wars to protect their families.

A

The Mi’kmaq people lived in Wigwams made by womens. They were made using poles tied together, birchbark was used for the covering, there was a hole in the top for smoke to escape, floor was made of animal fur and the door was also animal hide.
