Q

What is the special trick for the sampling without replacement formula?

A

The numerator will be N! descending from the highest number but only multiplying n numbers
The denominator will be just n! Since the (N-n)! And some of N! Cancel out

Ex: n=4 N=56
(56x55x54x53)/ (1x2x3x4)

Q

How do you solve a question using the 300 3-digit random numbers chart?

A

You use n as the number of numbers you pick from the chart and N as the maximum number you selected
You start at the top and work vertically down picking numbers within the range
Then use all the numbers you picked in range to correspond the chart you received in the question to find the sample numbers

Q

How do you find the sample mean?

A

You add all the sample numbers up in the numerator and divide them by how many there are (n)

54+53+87/ 3
