What does a class 1 license let you drive
Semi-trailer trucks and all other motor vehicles or combinations of vehicles except motorcycles
What does a Class 2 license let you drive
- Buses including school buses, special activity buses and special vehicles
- Trailers or towed vehicles may not exceed 4600 kg - may exceed if bus and trailer do not have air breaks
- any motor vehicles in class 4
What does a class 3 license let you drive
- Trucks with more than 2 axles such as dump trucks and large tow trucks, but not including a bus that is being used to transport people
- Trailers or towed vehicles may not exceed 4600 kgs may exceed 4600 kg if truck and trailers do not have air breaks
- A tow car towing a vehicle of any weight
- A mobile Truck crane
- Any motor vehicle or combination of Vehicle in Class 5
What does a Class 4 unrestricted license let you drive
- Buses with max seating of 25 people, including school buses and special vehicles used to transport people with disabilities
- taxis and liosines
- ambulances
- any motor vehicles or combination of vehicles in class 5
What does a Class 4 restricted license let you drive
- Taxis and limousines (up to 10 persons including drivers)
- Ambulances
- Special vehicles with a seating capacity of not more than 10 persons used to transport people with disabilities
- Class 5 stuff aswell
What does a Class 5 license let you drive
- Two axle vehicles including cars, vans, trucks and tow trucks.
- Trailers or towed Vehicles may not exceed 4600 kgs
- Motorhomes (including those with more than two axles)
- Limited speed motorcycles
- Passenger vehicles used as school buses with seating capacities of not more than 10 people
- construction and utility vehicles
- does not include class 4 vehicles or motorcycles
Class 4 or 5 heavy trailer endorsement
- Trailers or towed vehicles exceeding 4600 kg provided neither the truck nor trailer has air breaks
- any motor vehicle or combination of vehicle in class 5
Class 4 or 5 with house trailer endorsement
- Recreational trailers exceeding 4600kg provided neither truck or trailer has air breaks
- any motor vehicle or combination of vehicles in class 5
