focus is on creating distinctive products that have unsurpassed quality, innovative design and other features. An example is Nikon camera

concentrating on a segment of the market and attempts to satisfy it with low prices. An example is selling sports utility vehicles in north america because of the demand. That same dealership may sell an economy car in less developed countries because consumers have less disposable income
