Must include: present level of academic achievement, goals, child’s progress toward goals, services child will receive, and accommodations
What must be done prior to a special education referral?
Prereferral team (PRT) is convened to work with the gen ed teacher to help identify alternative educational strategies for the student before making a referral for sp.ed. With IDEA, RTIs are being used.
