Is a person from a foreign country who lives with a family and performs tasks similar to those of a nanny
Nanny
Provides care in the child’s home
Entrepreneur
This is a person who creates and runs his or her own business
Ex. -Family child care home
Licensing Specialist
+Employed by the state
The role of this person is to protect and promote the health, safety, and welfare of the children attending centers
Child Development Associate (CDA)
A national credential that requires post secondary courses in child care education and a minimum number of hours of child care experience
Note-you must be 18 and have a high school diploma
Credential
Some states are requiring that the head teacher has there CDA
Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP)
Is the set of guidelines that focus on the outcomes of learning activities
Ethics
A guiding set of moral principles either those held personally or those determined by a professional organization for its members
