The Golden Rule :
A rule of ethical conduct that is found in most major religions. “ do unto others as you would have them do unto you” .
Ethics:
That branch of philosophy dealing with values relating to human conduct, with respect to the rightness and wrongness of certain actions and to the goodness and badness of the motives and ends of such action.
Code of ethics:
Considered a declaration or statement of the professional standards of right and wrong conduct.
Situational ethics:
Moral principles that vary with circumstances.
Business ethics:
That which is good or moral in business transactions.
Ethnicity:
Cultural heritage or identity of a group, based on factor such as language or country or origin.
Honesty:
Having a sense of honor, upright and fair dealing.
Moral:
Refers to the customs, values and standards of practice of a group, age. Or theory intended to be timeless. Synonymous with ethical.
Integrity:
Fidelity to moral principles.
Law:
The rules that govern society.
Values:
Are beliefs that are held in high esteem.
Professionalism:
Professional character or spirit.
Philosophy:
Are a set of values, ideas and opinion of an individual or group.
Culture:
Consist of rules, ideas and beliefs, shared by members of society for a living and dying, and our learn, directly or indirectly.
Non-Theistic :
Is a philosophy that does not focus on the worship of a god or gods.
Theistic:
Is a philosophy that focuses on the worship of a god or gods.
Citizenship:
The character of an individual viewed as a member of society; behavior in terms of the duties, obligations and functions of a citizen.
Allied - professionals :
Professions that are related to funeral services in some way.
Aftercare or post funeral follow:
Those appropriate and helpful act of counseling, personal and/ or written contact that comes after the funeral.
Confidentiality:
To hold certain information in trust, and not disclose without proper authorization or authority. 
Discrimination:
The act of making a difference in treatment of favor on a basis, other than individual merit. 
Ethical:
Conforming to accepted standard of contact. 
Funeral service ethics:
Values related to human conduct as applied to the care of the deceased, family, family funeral home operations, and society. 
Harassment:
To annoy continually or chronically . 
Informed consent:
A formal agreement provided after receiving complete and accurate information, including alternative choices and consequences, in an understandable form 
Lifestyle:
A particular way of living; the way person lives, or a group of people live. 
Pre-Need:
Matters pertaining to pre-planning, and or pre-funding funeral services. 
Prudent Investment :
An approach followed for managing an investment portfolio, in a legally accepted manner. 
Religion:
A culturally entrenched pattern of behavior made up of 1) sacred beliefs, 2) emotional feelings accompanying the beliefs, and 3) overt conduct presumably implementing the beliefs and feelings. 
Socioeconomics :
Relating to, or involving a combination of social and economics. 
Social media :
Forms of electronic communication (as websites for special networking in microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content like video.
