It is a story that must be read as a story. It is also an ongoing conversation among scholars and historians about the past.

It helps us understand how events in the past made things the way they are today.

These are the sources that are produced at the same time as the event, period, or the subject being studied. Such as diaries, articles, and everything that passes the standards of an original document.
