Which continents have found a genetic link between each other?
People in Asia and Indigenous populations in North and South America.
What is the Land Bridge theory?
The theory says the humans migrated from Asia to North America when they were once connected.
What is the Migration by boat theory?
The theory is that humans migrated by water when all the continents were connected. But there is no actual evidence of this because Climate Change after the Ice Age raised water levels, so the original coastline is underwater.

What were some traits of the Clovis Culture?
They were hunter-gathers that traveled long distances to hunt Ice-Age animals.
What did the Clovis people make their tools from?
They used stone, bone, wood, and animal hide.
Why did the Clovis culture disappear?
Possibilities:
1. The Clovis killed all the animals they hunted for food
2. Animals died and the culture changed as the weather got drier and the seasons became more extreme
3. People developed better tools and shelters as well as creating small settlements

Folsom culture.
Where did the Plano Culture live?
Mainly in the Great Plains, from Southern Canada to the Golf of New Mexico.
How long did the Plano culture last for?
8000 BCE to 6000 BCE.
How did the Plano people live?
In smaller areas with a higher population then the Clovis or Folsom cultures.

A small area that has its own climate, separate from the surrounding area.
Pre-Columbian
A term referring to the people who lived in North, South, and Central America before the arrival of European explorers and settlers.
Pueblos
The multistory adobe houses, sometimes built into cliffs and canyons.
