Patient- Centered Medical Home
(PCMH)
An externship is an educational course offered in the last module or semester during which the student works in the field, gaining hands-on experience it varies in length from 106- 240 hrs.

Recertification
Is defined as the procedures, actions, and processes that are permitted for a particular health care profession.

Self- Boundaries
Some physicians prefer treating patients of all ages, family medicine, or internal medicine. Others my choose surgery or vascular surgery.
Specialty
In the HMO plan patients must use the services of a primary physician who must get insurance authorization before referring patients to another physician (such as a specialist) or before providing many treatments in order for the insurance to cover the costs associated with those services.

**Computed Tomography
(CT) scan
Uses a strong magnetic field to realign ions to form an image on screen. It’s used to detect internal bleeding, tumors, cysts, and so on.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI)
Has further revolutionized radiology. A “MAP” of the body shows the tissues in which the molecular probe has become concentrated and can be interpreted by nuclear medicine physicians or radiologists in the context of patients’ diagnosis and treatment plan
Positron Emissions Tomography
(PET) scan
MA’s are Multiskilled Allied Health professionals specially educated to work in ambulatory settings performing Administrative and Clinical duties
