How can the Lisbon Treaty be defined?
The failed Constitutional Treaty
Why did the Constitutional Treaty fail and when?
In 2004 because it has to be ratified by all MS but France and the Netherlands did not. So after a reflection period (2y), the EC abandoned the idea and the 2007 Lisbon Treaty covered the same aspects.
What does the TEU contain?
General provisions defining the Union
What does the TFEU contain?
Specific provisions with regard to the Union institutions and policies
How many legal personalities does the EU have?
Just one single legal personality
What is Art.10 TEU about?
It is about the functioning of the EU which is founded on representative democracy, which is offered both directly (EP) and indirectly (other institutions)
