a piece that portrays natural objects in recognizable form
What is Abstract art?
a piece that to a greater or lesser degree does not resemble what the eye sees
What is Non-Objective art?
a piece that makes no reference to the natural world and that explores the inherent expressive or aesthetic potential
What is Iconography?
a system of visual images with a widely understood meaning by a given culture or cultural group
What is an example of Iconography?
stain glass windows in a church
What is Calligraphy?
type/style of writing (fancy) common in Asian cultures
