Sentence Skeleton
simple subject and simple predicate
Direct Object
Noun or pronoun that completes a sentence skeleton by receiving the action of the verb
Indirect Object
noun or pronoun that complete a sentence skeleton by telling to whom or what or for whom or what an action is performed
Object Compements
indirect and direct objects
Predicate Nominative
a noun/pronoun that is linked to the predicate by a linking verb. S=PN
Predicate Adjective
follows a linking verb and modifies the subject - it is an adjective
Subjective complements
predicate nominative/predicate adjective
Noun of direct Address
names the person/thing to whom one is speaking
