On superior portion of clavicle in mid-clavicular line
“ears are in line with the midclavicular line”
pharynx; pharyngitis
On superior portion of 1st rib just lateral to manubrium at the costosternal junction

On superior portion of 2nd rib in midclavicular line

Between ribs 2 and 3, just lateral to sternum
Heart is just on left 2-3 interspaces
“2nd ICS is where you auscultate pulmonary valve”
upper lung; upper lobe pneumonia
Between ribs 3 & 4, just lateral to sternum. (3rd ICS)
Depends on location of pneumonia as to whether it will be left or right
lower lung; lower lobe pneumonia
Between ribs 4 and 5, just lateral to sternum (4th ICS)
Depends on location of pneumonia as to where it will be left or right
Stomach; acidity/gastritis (this point more commonly seen than point for peristalsis
Between ribs 5 & 6 near costochondral junction (5th ICS)

liver, gallbladder; liver/gallbladder disease (asked more often than point for just liver alone)
Between ribs 6 & 7, near costochondral junction (6th ICS)
